Medical oxygen is used during anesthesia and in the recovery process following surgery. It is also used to treat or prevent oxygen deficiency in the body in various situations, including serious traumas such as surgery or road traffic accidents, heart attacks, severe blood loss, carbon monoxide poisoning, severe lung and heart conditions, and very high fevers.
